[ Introduction ]

Today we are checking out twelve peripherals in the ever-changing world of gaming mice - with some big names included in our roundup, we are bound to cover one or two you may be interested in purchasing. For those that aren’t interested in upgrading or purchasing a gaming mouse, should you not already have one, let us suggest you take the time to consider an upgrade as moving from a standard off the shelf mouse to a gaming grade mouse can make even the casual gamers sessions that much more enjoyable. With so many gamers out there having not taken the plunge into the gaming peripheral world, more and more manufacturers are coming out with their own releases to win over your hard-earned cash...

So what does this mean for you, the consumer? An abundance of gaming peripherals to choose from, all at competitive pricing and many of the producers coming up with very unique offerings in style or shape. Based on the mice we’ve tested in this roundup, all of these manufacturers are certainly learning from their past mistakes, or from each other, and not one of these twelve left us severely disappointed.

We have tried to consider all aspects, and managed to test them over a 2month period with many hours spent in FPS, RTS, MMO games, and also during general business use, to ensure they all cover the mundane day to day tasks and up to the reliability test.

Corsair is making some good looking mice. I wish the M95 was wireless though. The new Logitech mice look sh*t :(

If you are looking for a nice wireless gaming piece I can recommend the aivia uranium from gigabyte, it is quite pricey though. If you don't want to dish out that much I also have the gigabyte eco 600. I bought it as a replacemet for my mx revolution that died on me for the 2nd time (sorry logitech, have been a big fan but your quality s*cks lately on the highend products). It's not the looker, but it's fullsize wireless and pretty comfortable and responsive at gaming. And it's really affordable ;-)

I own the G700s and have to agree that it's a great wireless gaming mouse. I used to own a G7, but I sold it a few years back because I hated swapping the batteries every 2-3 days.

I can assure anyone who is concerned about the battery life of the G700s that it will never be an issue for you. My first set of batteries that I got with mine lasted about 3 months with the setting on high performance mode. I never turned the mouse off, but let it sleep when not using it. I'm still going strong on my second set of new rechargeable 2A batteries, and it's been another two months.
