The Sandy Bridge processors would not accept memory timings more aggressive than CL6-6-5-18. Therefore we found that the OCZ, ADATA and Mushkin memory were all able to achieve these aggressive timings. The Crucial memory managed CL7-6-6-18, while the Patriot and Kingston memory which were designed for a much higher frequency managed CL7-7-6-18.
