Today we are checking out Logitech's latest and greatest gaming mouse, the G502 ‘Proteus Core’. It sounds pretty badass and well, it is. The G502 is also quite special in the sense that it’s the world’s first ever mouse to feature a sensor with a staggering 12,000 DPI rating. Yet it's not the super fast sensor that impressed us to most...
That’s a mind blowing specification that makes the G502 ideal for 4K gaming. Complementing the advanced sensor is a host of other features that help make the G502 the ultimate gaming mouse.
![]() The G502 is highly flexible when it comes to surfaces, working flawlessly on timber, laminate, steel and of course mouse pads. Those keen on fine tuning the weight of their mouse will be happy to know the G502 implements such a system, offering five chevron shaped 3.6 gram weights. Tuning doesn’t stop there as the G502 includes a total of eleven programmable buttons as well as in-game DPI shifting and a dual-mode fast-scroll or click-adjust mouse wheel. There has been a great deal of hype surrounding the G502 Proteus Core gaming mouse which is why we have been keen to get our hands on it. With the mouse being on sale for a few weeks now many early adopters have already thrown their money at Logitech and few seem anything less than amazed. It seems then Logitech hasn’t over hyped the G502 with statements like this... "With the world's best sensor technology, complete surface, weight and balance tuning and mechanical switches, we have made a mouse that dominates," said Ehtisham Rabbani, general manager of the Logitech gaming business. "The Logitech G team believes that when hype fades, Science Wins!" Still seeing is believing and we want to check out the G502 first hand. |
