[ Introduction ]

Today we have the Palit GTX 760 Jetstream on the test bed and it’s no ordinary GeForce GTX 760. Apart from the PCB redesign Palit has also overclocked the hell out of this card, and allowing them to do so is a massive triple slot fan cooler. Therefore we expect it to be not just fast, but also cool and quiet...

Nvidia has continued to roll out the GeForce 700 series with the introduction of the GTX 760 -- the generation's first truly mainstream product, with pricing well under that of the GTX Titan, 780 and even the 770, which at $400 still costs more than the average gamer is willing to spend. In other words, the GTX 760 is the most relevant option for someone who needs a new graphics card.

Like the GTX 770, 680, 670 and 660 Ti before it, the GTX 760 is based on Nvidia's GK104 architecture. That said, the core configuration has been cut down quite significantly when compared to last month's GTX 770. Before you close the tab, there is some good news: Nvidia has left the card's 256-bit wide memory bus intact, affording the GTX 760 quite a lot of memory bandwidth.

As a result the GTX 760 provided strong performance, beating the old GTX 660 Ti by an average of 11% in our frames per second testing, while also maintaining a 17% lead over the HD 7870 and 1% on the 7950. The average frame time numbers were quite similar, as the GTX 760 was 9% faster than the GTX 660 Ti, 11% faster than the HD 7870 and 1% slower than the 7950.

Palit’s premium GTX 760 card is known as the Jetstream and features a heavily modified board design packing upgraded cooling and some factory overclocking. Before we jump to the benchmarks let’s take a closer look at the card...

Cool looking card, really like the gold plate. Trying to find these in the US.

Just saw this one, good stuff love these heavily over-clocked cards. The scribbley writing adds character as well :D
