DISCUSS REVIEW
Today we are able to show you a new Inno3D graphics card which is built around the Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT GPU. Like most 8800 GT graphics cards this version features 512MB of onboard memory, however unlike many it comes heavily overclocked with an impressive cooling solution. Read on to find out more...

Possibly the most popular graphics card right now could be the GeForce 8800 GT and at just $240-$280 US for the 512MB version it is easy to see why. The 8800 GT has continued to improve since its release, largely due to the greatly improved availability of these graphics cards. It is now very easy to pick up an 8800 GT and more importantly there is no chance of paying over $300 US anymore, at least there shouldn’t be. In fact manufacturers such as ASUS are now flogging their 1GB versions for less than $300 US.

Another improvement most 8800 GT graphics cards have undergone has to do with the standard Nvidia cooler and that improvement has been getting rid of this cooler. Again we have already seen manufacturers such as ASUS now supplying their 8800 GT stock with upgraded coolers and at no extra cost. Cooling has always been a major concern of ours with the GeForce 8800 GT as the single slot cooler was not nearly efficient enough. While the idea of a single slot cooler is great it would appear that they are not nearly efficient enough for today’s graphics cards.

Already we know of GeForce 8800 GT graphics cards from ASUS, Gigabyte and even ECS that feature improved cooling solutions and today we can add Inno3D to that list with their new Arctic-Cooling iChiLL 8800 GT Accelero X1 (512MB) graphics card. Although the model name is a bit of a mouthful Inno3D has to give Arctic-Cooling credit for this one as they have simply slapped the Accelero X1 on their iChiLL special edition GeForce 8800 GT.

However in typical Inno3D fashion this graphics card is much more than an Arctic-Cooling 8800 GT hybrid job. Rather Inno3D has tweaked their special edition GeForce 8800 GT quite heavily boosting both the core and memory frequency. Like all Inno3D graphics cards this new special edition product still uses a green PCB, though Inno3D has dressed it in solid cap capacitors. Before we begin to benchmark this new Inno3D graphics card let’s take a moment to check it out in a little more detail...
