After several setbacks, Via intends to launch dual-core Nano microprocessors later this year. The dual-core Via Nano central processing units (CPUs) will be clocked at up to 2GHz clock-speed, will have 2MB L2 cache and will utilize 1333MHz V4 bus, reports DigiTimes web-site. With 20W thermal design power (TDP), Via Technologies will position the dual-core Nano product for notebooks. The chips are to be made using 40nm process technology at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company.
